Mvine provide all the classical document and digital asset management features coupled
with all the new content sharing and collaboration options the internet allows.
Any type of digital asset can be uploaded, or imported automatically to the platform, including Word, Excel, Video, PDF, Databases, .exe files, etc. Size limits can be imposed, but the platform can support unlimited file sizes.
Publishers can enhance search by adding appropriate content tags and metadata. In addition, tags and tag search can be configured for admin use only.
The platform supports the 'classic' multi-level foldering system, with the additional options of simple or highly graphical presentation.
Any document or digital asset can be saved directly from any application on your PC to the appropriate Mvine Mspace assuming that the user has the appropriate publishing and security rights.
In addition to running standalone, the Mvine platform can be integrated with any number of third-party systems such as CRM, ERP, document management, accounting, HR, identity management directories (to name but a few) pulling and pushing, presenting and rendering, content, users and data, in both batch or live mode
To speed up document consumption on a browser or a mobile devise, Mvine converts Word, PowerPoint and Excel into pdf files which can easily be previewed on-screen without the need to download the file.
Finding documents could not be made easier as Mvine indexes the ‘words’ within documents such as native PDFs, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Documents.
To support additional security, regulation and distribution management, selected documents can contain a watermark, typically overlaying the name of the person and the date of download.
The Mvine content management module provides a content voting & rating facility that can be switched on for all, or individual items of content. Ratings can then be either shared with users, or accessed by only by the content publishers.
Mvine’s content management module supports content versioning. Simply replacing the existing document with a new one will demote the existing one to a historic version. Mvine also supports versioning where the file type may change.
The Mvine content management module can also manage video content and offers playback on all devices and operating systems. All standard content management features also apply to video: voting/rating, commenting, sale, description with metadata, bookmarking, versioning. In addition normal and widescreen video can be uploaded with multichapter support.
Whilst the Mvine platform supports directly, audio and video files, these can also be linked or embedded from 3rd party sites.
To make it easier for users to return to an important document or discussion, each user can add bookmarks.
Users can automatically be alerted when a piece of content or a news item or event has been updated or commented on.
Discussion boards or forums can be configured to be either 'open' allowing for everyone with group access to participate directly or moderated, allowing the moderator to ensure that comments posted are consistent with the objectives of the Mspace.
Users are empowered to post comments on your content, articles, blogs, videos, and other branded information and provide feedback on your content, and services. Comments can also be tracked against document versions.
