Val is a multi-talented artist who sings, writes AND produces her own songs. She has been singing and playing the keyboards by ear since age 3, and she wrote her first tune when she was only 6. Despite this uncommon talent, Val discovered her true passion for music only in her teens. Initially fascinated by the folky sound of Suzanne Vega, Val moved on to explore music from a number of different genres: from Queen to Bjork, to the evanescent atmosphere of Cocteau Twins, to soul, funk and jazz, to pop icons like Xtina Aguilera and George Michael "I am very much song-driven actually "Val says" I do not really focus on one style. I like music from any style, from Classical to Heavy metal, but there must be some element that hooks me, and above all there must be energy, some passion. I think music is about having something to say, and to say it clear and loud. My music is about the rawness in me and it comes from a very secret corner inside me. It is hard at times to really let go and express what I feel because it takes courage to be authentic. But I need it and I try to do it through my music" Val also has a degree in theoretical Physics. "Physics and science are fascinating, but I wouldn't see them as a career, because my true passion is music. Nevertheless having a scientific background does help me when I have to spend hours on CUBASE looking for the right groove..it gives me an analytical approach, which is an important aspect if you want to be a producer".
