Writing what has variously been described as melancholic, lo-fi and off-kilter pop, his songs explore a range of emotions from desperation to great hope. Recording his debut solo album "Highwire" (available from www.conradvingoe.co.uk) last year, Conrad continues to play live solo and with a band. Conrad has recently won the Fopp award for new music 2006. Winners of the award get given studio time in which three tracks will be recorded. This Ep will then be manufactured and sold nationwide in Fopp stores. The prize also includes a showcase gig in front of music industry at Dingwalls in the beginning of 2007.
